Shri Satyanarayan Vrat Katha & Puja Vidhi
Mythological Story
Narada Muni, seeing humanity suffering in Kaliyuga, approached Lord Vishnu for a simple remedy. Vishnu revealed that worshipping Lord Satyanarayan with pure faith, truthfulness, and sharing sacred Panjiri prasad solves all difficulties. The stories of the poor Brahmin Shatananda, the woodcutter, King Ulkamukha, and the merchant Sadhu Vaishya demonstrate how steadfast truth and devotion bring divine grace.
Spiritual Significance
Satyanarayan Puja emphasizes truth (Satya) in speech and conduct. It brings peace to family households, blesses progeny, and eliminates obstacles in business and marital life.
Puja Vidhi & Celebration
Families install a wooden Chowki with banana leaves, read the five chapters of the Katha, and distribute sacred Panchamrit and Panjiri prasad (wheat flour roasted with sugar and bananas).
