Ram Navami
Mythological Story
Ram Navami celebrates the birth of Lord Rama, the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu, born in Ayodhya to King Dasharatha and Queen Kausalya. According to the Ramayana, Lord Rama was born on the ninth day (Navami) of the Chaitra month during the Shukla Paksha under the Punarvasu nakshatra. His birth was a divine intervention to restore dharma on earth and protect humanity from the atrocities of the demon king Ravana. Rama lived a life of exemplary virtue, sacrifice, and justice, establishing Ramrajya—the ideal righteous society.

Ram Navami holds immense spiritual significance as it represents the victory of righteousness over unrighteousness. Lord Rama is Maryada Purushottam—the ideal person who embodied truth, obedience, justice, and compassion. Observing Ram Navami purifies the soul, inspires moral courage, and invokes divine protection.
